Big changes are coming to Costa Rica’s tax system — and many people don’t even know it yet. The Ministry of Finance has officially announced the launch of TRIBU-CR, a new all-in-one digital tax platform that will replace the systems we’ve been using for years.
⏳ The Transition Timeline
September 25, 2025 (11:45 p.m.) → The old platforms like ATV, EDDI-7, TRAVI, DeclaraWeb and more are cut off.
September 25 – October 6, 2025 → “Dead period.” Tax deadlines and procedures are suspended while the transition happens.
October 6, 2025 → TRIBU-CR goes live. From this date forward, all tax obligations must be handled in the new system.
